Missouri or BUST!
Or should we say, to Missouri FOR a bust! New Hope Pit Bull rescue was recently named in a press releaseas being one of the organizations called on to help with the July 8 dogfighting raid that spanned over six states.
The dogs haven't beenreleased to the shelter from the courts yet, but it sounds like it mayhappen soon. When it happens, some of New Hope'svolunteers will be packing up and heading out to the Mid-west to pickup dogs. We are going to need help with transportation expenses andwe'll need a large SUV or something similar that can at least hold twocrates. Renting a vehicle of this magnitude will cost us close to$1,000 - without gas or lodging expenses! If you have gas cards, giftcertificates to restaurants, anything that may be used to keep ourexpenses down on this trip out, it would be greatly appreciated!
Checks, money orders, gift certificates and other donated items can be mailed to:New Hope Pit Bull Rescue
PO Box 261
Goose Creek, SC 29445

Now,we know it may be hard to understand why we would go all the way toMissouri for dogs so we made a blog post to further explain ourposition and how we feel responding to this call for help will help tomake changes in our own area with our own dogs. Click here to read the blog post.
